Codename: Sailor V anime opening. Although the manga wasn’t actually adapted into a full-length anime series, I think this opening was created as some sort of special or bonus feature. However, there were originally plans to make an OVA of the series before Sailor Moon came about so that may also be this video’s source.

Okay, factual stuff aside, this video makes me giddy with tiny fangirl emotions every time I watch it. I’m a total nostalgia junkie and this just gives me a major rush, as does all Sailor Moon-related stuff. AND IF YOU PAUSE AT 1:00

This is a fan-created opening made by the YT uploader (fabzt10). It’s true that there were plans to make a Sailor V OVA that fell through, but this is unrelated.

It’s still a beautiful piece of animation, though, and such a beautiful expression of dedication and faithfulness to the canon. :)

The Codename is “V”

This idea came to me a few days ago, but because of Lunacy and a few other things, I couldn’t draw it at the time. Most of my drawing ideas come quickly, I scribble them down, and move on - so having to wait was an uncommon but rewarding feeling, and so I spent a bit more time on it.

Feel free to come up with your own origin stories for this AU Venus. All I know is that she’s the reincarnation of Aphrodite, and she don’t take no shit.

Oh, I forgot to mention! This whole thing was probably inspired by Mary Beth Schroeder, who plays Mina (and Serena) in Sailor Moon: The Movie, which I’m an avid follower of. (Part 1 came out just the other day!! I know it sounds silly with what I just said, but I have yet to see it - but I hear it’s awesome, so go watch it). She’s really grown attached to her Sailor V mask, which is more cloth-like than in the manga/anime, and she calls it her “Superhero” mask pretty often, which… made me think of this.

Yesterday I felt creative and decided to make these Sailor V [from Sailor Moon] manga flats. I had so much fun doing this and really like the result! Though, this was definitely a learning experience. I had trouble with curves and it took me forever to figure out how to get everything to fit on right. The next pair will definitely be put together better. 

I be making another pair (bought a pair of heels to use) and was thinking of making several to sale. If anyone is interested, shoot me a message! ♥♥♥♥
