Just because the characters are mostly female, I don’t know why it’s considered a “girl” anime/manga. I’m a boy, and I’m not ashamed to say that I LOVE Sailor Moon!
I think the transformation thing is really cool and epic. I recently found out they started to sell more Sailor Moon merch at Hot Topic. I’ll be honest, I want to own some of them but people will think I’m weird :(
SAILOR MOON ROCKS!
Yes it does! I never quite understand that either. I mean, ten or twenty years ago when it first came out, I could understand it maybe; but now it’s becoming more and more “acceptable” for guys to like series that promote themselves as being girly, or appealing to traditionally feminine interests, with it only being an issue for people who are - well - backwards. Yet somehow, Sailor Moon still gets overlooked. A friend of mine introduced me to K-On!, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and read through the entire manga of Card Captor Sakura. Yet whenever I bring up the idea of showing Sailor Moon to him, he gets this look on his face that silently says, “Really? Sailor Moon?”. Sailor Moon is full of the cute characterisation that makes series like this somehow popular to an older adult fanbase, and has lots of action and DRAMA as well. It’s even pretty darn funny, and often sexy; in other words, it has “something for everyone”.
So, TL;DR: I hope you do get one of those Hot Topic T-shirts, and wear it to spread Broonie support!
I vividly remember being obsessed with Sailor Moon when I was little.
Oh, and renting Sailor Moon video tapes from the library like every day.
Now all the weird stares make sense.
Whatever, Sailor Moon was my shit.
My fucking shit.
Welcome to the fold, fellow Broonie.

I can hear the avalanche of pussy tumbling towards this guy all the way from Australia!

i’m feeling pretty yiffy after seeing this
So I’ve changed my mind about this whole “Broonies” thing.

Friend:
So wait, how does Sailor Moon end?
♥
Me:
Like you mean at the very end?
♥
Friend:
Yeah, the very last episode. Does everyone die and stay dead?
♥
Me:
Huh? No, they don't stay dead.
♥
Friend:
My friend was telling me that they all stayed dead, for good. I didn't think that's how it went.
♥
Me:
Well, they do die, and they stay dead for longer, but they come back again.
♥
Friend:
I thought so. How does it really end?
♥
Me:
Well, let's see. Sailor Moon gets naked with angel wings and fights with a sword made out of a toddler but then it breaks so she holds hands with the villain and everything's ok again.
♥
Friend:
Ok.
I am not saying that there are no male Sailor Moon fans, I am just saying that the numbers are greatly skewed in favour of females and that there is still a stigma about it being a strictly girly show that may put off other male viewers from enjoying it.
There we go, now go rope up some guys and force them to watch it

I’m certain SM will get more male viewers. (I mean, dude, if MLP can have bronies, SM can definitely gain bro-moonies)
My boyfriend is a male Sailor Moon fan. One of the many reasons why he is incredibly fucking awesome.
Seriously if any of you have boyfriends who are into Sailor Moon (or are boy, friends who are into Sailor Moon) then post pictures of them doing something Broonie-ish. The internet needs more of them
