“If we didn’t meet Usagi, we all would have been alone”
- Rei Hino, Sailor Moon R: The Movie (1993)

This is the power that is going to destroy the planet…

Keiko Kitagawa does her impression of Pikachu, but she can’t look at anyone while she does it because she is the ADORABLEST.

PGSM is a beautiful show full of intense characterisation, relationships and emotion.
1) This is a very true statement.
2) I’ve always found it interesting that their clothing is their image colors, but flip-flopped. I have no idea if this is intentional or what it would signify if it actually is intentional, but whatever, it looks cool.
3) Rika Izumi needs to act more, and Miyuu just needs to do more things in general. Preferably together.
4) OMG PGSM REUNION SPECIAL I WANTZZZ IT
5) Ship it (but then I ship all the things).
PGSM (and sailor moon in general) made me realize how RARE it is for film/tv to show women loving, respecting, and showing genuine concern for each other. each senshi represents a different side of femininity and none is elevated over the other as “better.” they became better TOGETHER.
sailor dark mercury’s storyline was by and large my FAVORITE addition to the sailor moon universe. the other girls worked HARD to get mercury back and there was nothing but love upon her return to the fold.
ugh! this show was my everything!!!!
don’t mind me, it’s just raining on my face.

Friend’s mother: “So why do you like Sailor Moon?”
Me: “Well, there are lots of reasons. It’s a good show. It also an empowering show, really. It’s about girls being awesome.”
Friend’s mother: “Yeah… in tiny mini skirts.”

I am sorry for posting kigurumi. Are we cool? In apology, here are some super cute kids in PGSM duds.
