Ok, so, Amada released some scented trading cards in the 90s. Obviously the entire card was not scented, just a part of it (like scratch-and-sniff presumably). Some cards make it easier to see this circle of sniffable area, like this one:
You might recognise the art on them and how each of them featured different flowers, because they were floral scented. So the scented patch goes over what you’re smelling; ie. the plants.

Man. This commercial. Let me tell you about this commercial. Back when I was a wee kid and I was only really aware of the dubbed first season of Sailor Moon, I would get my pre-Internet fix by renting the same old VHS tapes from the local video store. This ad played at the beginning of every single tape to the point where I basically memorised the dialogue. The unfortunate part about this clip is that it cuts out right before the oddly stoic male narrator could say “Each… sold separately.”. He was really contemplating that each doll was sold separately.

I actualy have always loved Usagi’s outfit here, even if it looks like Makoto got a 2-for-1 special on sweaters at her local surplus store and gifted her one. But seriously, Usagi looks like she could travel the globe as a kickass Pokemon Trainer wearing that outfit. I have no idea where that logic is coming from but it’s just adorkable.
