My Celebrate It! for episode 002. I’m kind of cheating since I already had the drawings on my computer (for what purpose, I don’t know), but since I never did anything with them, here they are!

Before watching this episode, on a scale of 1-10, how much are you looking forward to seeing it again?
Humm… about a 3? Not one of my favourite episodes. It was one of the episodes I wanted to cut from the first season (before we decided not to), except that it introduces Motoki.

Both of them show off Usagi’s adorable personality, but I like #1 because Luna references it in the next episode where she does get a “new item”, and I like #2 because it makes you realise that especially to someone like Usagi, who doesn’t care much for English, her transformation phrase is just a jumbled mess of words she doesn’t understand (and even if she did, they still don’t make much sense).

Least Favourite Moment:

Definitely when Baam (the MoTD) died. It seemed really, really painful. It was long and slow and drawn out and she kept making this awful face and screaming. At least Morga and most of the other MoTD died fairly quickly; I know she’s evil and all, but go back and watch that scene. That’s pure agony.

What’s one thing you noticed/realised about this episode that you hadn’t before?

The secret of Beryl’s mass of faceless minions, and what they do all day; they apparently go out and search for the Silver Crystal!

I either forgot/never noticed that they all left in this episode. And that’s the end of that chapter.

Also, that Mamoru was probably lurking around outside the Fortune House because he thought it was suspicious. (Although given how his Tuxedo Mask persona is totally messed with in the Anime, that was probably subconscious.)

And because of these other Rewatchers, I realised that Zombie!Gurio + others are definitely doing the Thriller dance.

On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate the episode?
Probably about a 6-7! I think the first time I watched it I just kind of decided, “Ehh, this episode is boring”, so that stuck with me. But watching it again was really interesting!

Sailor Moon Tumblr-Wide Rewatch, Week 2!

Hey all! First, I just want to say that the participation so far for the Sailor Moon Rewatch has been incredible! Everyone has great observations and thoughts about episode #1, reading them has filled me with nostalgia and pride in the fanbase.

So! Let us then move on to the second week! I’m going to go with what has been suggested by many people and not cut any episodes from the first season, but rather bump the number of episodes per week up to 2. So, this week we will be watching;

#002: Oshiokiyo! Uranai HOUSE wa Youma no Yakata (“I’ll Punish Them! The Fortune House is a Monster’s Mansion”)
This episode is worth watching because it introduces Motoki Furuhata. If you’re doing a DiC Dub rewatch, though, you’ll either have to skip this one or watch it in Japanese.

And…

#003: Nazo no Nemuribyou, Mamore Otome no Koisuru Kokoro (“The Mysterious Sleeping Sickness, Protect a Maiden’s Loving Heart) (DiC Dub: “Talk Radio”)
This episode is worth watching because, apart from being generally cute, it introduces the Disguise Pen (“Luna Pen”) and Moon Power ~ni Nare (“Disguise Power”).

I’ll be doing + posting my own rewatch(es) ASAP, but maybe some of you will beat me! Hahaha I’ll cut you.
