A Halloween TCG where you collect Tumblr users!

THE RULES

• Make your Trick and Treat cards using the templates and instructions below.
• Make a post on your Tumblr saying you’re joining in the game, tag it with “Tumblr Trick or Treat” (so people can find you) and link back to this post. That lets your followers know you’re happy to get Trick-or-Treaters!
• To trick-or-treat, send an Ask to someone - not anonymously! - who’s playing, saying “Trick or Treat”.
• If you get one of these messages, send back a Trick or a Treat card. It’s up to you which one they deserve. Your responses should be private! Otherwise there’s nothing rare about your card!
• If you get a card from someone, don’t share it until Halloween is over!
• You don’t have to be accepting trick or treaters to be one yourself, but it’s much more fun that way.
• See how many unique cards/Tumblr users you can collect before it finishes!

MAKING CARDS

What do I put on my card?
First, you put your username or nickname on it somewhere. There’s a little space at the bottom for this purpose, but you can put it anywhere.
After that, in the middle box, you put anything you like! The goal is to make cards that represent what your Tumblr’s all about. Here are some suggestions for how you can decorate your cards;

• Fandom graphics, screencaps, etc.
• Drawings, paintings, sketches, colourings, etc. that you’ve done
• Photos/drawings you did of yourself/a character in your Halloween costume/cosplaying
• Animated gifs
• Poetry/prose, etc.
• Photos/drawings of candy, sweets or desserts for “treats”
• Photos/drawings of entertainingly creepy/spooky stuff for “tricks”
• Anything related to Halloween
• Anything not related to Halloween
• Cats. Tumblr loves cats.

Do I have to be good at graphics to join in?
Nope. You can scribble on your card in MS Paint if you like.

How many cards do I make?
At least one Trick and one Treat card. If you have a smaller, tight-knit group of followers, you might like to make a personalized card for everyone who asks. Or you can make just one or two of each kind and give the same one to everyone - whatever’s kindest on your Inbox.
