This outfit was inspired by Makoto’s rose earrings. I think it’d be a great outfit on her if she was trying to dress girlier to impress someone who reminded her of her old senpai! She would opt for some flats instead of wedges because she wouldn’t want to seem too tall.

!! This is super nice, especially with the floral pattern. It suits Makoto really well.

From the POV of being something Makoto would choose herself, I also particularly like the flats because her height is definitely something she’s self-conscious about. The shorts are also great - if you look at the clothes she’s worn in the series, she rarely picks anything that shows off her “talent”, but she’s much more likely to wear things that show off her legs - she wears a lot of figure-hugging pants, tights and short shorts. I guess it’s my headcanon that while she knows her bust is larger than average and that this is generally considered a “plus”, she feels self-conscious about showing it off; but she’s much happier to showcase her legs, because she feels like it’s making a silver lining out of being so tall.

Anyway that was a lot of nonsense; this is a lovely outfit and the imagery + colour scheme would look amazing on Makoto.
