Reblog if you think that everyone deserves respect. That if someone tells you something you have said or done has hurt them, that it deserves respect; that it’s not OK to harass or publicly humiliate someone for expressing how they feel.

That things you say or do can still be offensive, even if you intended it as a joke or weren’t being serious, and that a person is not being “too sensitive” just because you don’t immediately see their point. That you care enough to want to try and talk about these things and reach a conclusion that suits everyone, not laugh at them, or shut yourself off from the ‘inconvenience’ of admitting that you might have possibly said something bad.

Reblog if you want to make your Tumblr a safe place where people can enjoy and participate in your fandoms without fear that they will be ostracized if they don’t “go with the flow”. That you won’t use any popularity/publicity you may have to try and intimidate people by making them a target. If you want to listen to people equally, whether they are your friends or not, whether they agree with you or not.

(This post has been eating at me for a while and I just wanted to get it out. Sometimes I feel like the loudest blogs are the ones that are the most cruel and closed-minded, but it’s not really their fault if the only feedback they get is people telling them that their behaviour is appropriate.
I know I’m being hypocritical here as some of my responses in the earlier parts of this blog have been dismissive and rude. If I offended you or treated your concerns lightly in the past, I sincerely apologise. If you have unresolved issues that need addressing, please contact me.
