An unused scene from the PGSM opening

You know the clip where they’re all on the train together, and then Usagi realises she’d fallen asleep and they’d all gotten off without her? Originally, the other girls all did various train-related things, too.

Minako gets recognised by some teeny little fans.
Rei offers her seat to a little old lady, and stows her luggage in the over-head rack…

… and Makoto fetches it for her when she gets to her stop, using her superior height and strength.

Then Ami helps a handsome, lost tourist

while the girls cheer her on. (I like his smug little smile at the end there. It’s like, “Heh, yeah, I know I’m pretty dreamy, even if I do look a little like the used car salesman from True Lies.”)

I’m kind of sad that these didn’t manage to stay in the opening, since they show the girls’ personalities in a way that’s cute, quick and easily recognisable. But I guess for an opening montage, they’d be too busy.
